This record is new Neal Casal's rock and roll project. Recorded and mixed in just 11 days, "HAZY MALAZE" sizzles with the playful purity of the trio's spur-of-the-moment vibe. Tracks like "Satisfy The Jones" and "It's A Good Thing" pulse with a merry sense of rock n' roll abandon - big-hearted and greasy and full of joy. Having captured lightning in a bottle, the band now have no further goal in mind other than rocking the road alongside their good friend Robert Randolph (who lends his special brand of incendiary sacred steel to the album's "Backwards Barrell"). Hazy Malaze are living for the moment, stage by stage by stage. This is the second album from Neal Casal's soul power trio Hazy Malaze. 'Blackout Love' sees Casal and co. mix the seventies funk sound of The Meters and Booker T & The MG's with chuggin' funk-rock riffs and extended guitar solos.
