Europa Machine

Holm/Mirland is a Danish minimalist industrial project from Kim Holm (CrackDown and managing director for the alternative Danish festival, RECession) and John R. Mirland (Mechanical Principle, Owl In The Woods).

Using an array of analog and digital synths and modulars all tracks are recorded and mixed at Mirland’s small studio “The Sweatshop”. The track count in the DAW is kept at a minimum and the focus is always on

establishing a minimalist but effective and energetic track.

“Europa Machine” is the second release for Holm/Mirland and the ﬁrst ofﬁcial through the New York based

label Audio Visual Algebra.

The mini album contains six new tracks and is supported by remixes from Portion Control (UK), Cruise [ctrl]

(B), Alter Der Ruine (US) and Mark Stewart (UK).

The track “I’ve Got The Moves” features the vocals of Tonje Terese (UK, N, DK).

The forerunner “EuroKrise” contains samples of Angela Merkel (Europa) and is supported by a frenetic

videoclip composed by the band and already released on YouTube (http://youtu.be/-ZHxdK4w2bk).

“Europa Machine” is mastered in Canada by Alex Castanha.
