ISON second release, Andromeda Skyline, was originally released in 2018, but was sold out in a matter of days, and has been unavailable since. Three years later, the now-solo project of Daniel Änghede (Hearts Of Black Science, ex-Crippled Black Phoenix) is one of the most interesting names in the drone / post-rock underground scene, and the time is right to make it's sophomore album available again on CD. Andromeda Skyline was recorded as a duo by Daniel Änghede and then-singer Heike Langhans (Draconian, Light Field Reverie), five tracks condensing ideas and feelings from two minds drifting through the universe. Guitar drones and ethereal whispers are what have made ISON such a peculiar and recognisable band all along. Andromeda Skyline expanded the sound palette of the band debut, Cosmic Drone (2015), with hints of beats and synths, giving the whole album an off-world, sidereal mood, and Avantgarde Music will help you catch this ride through the galaxy.
