At the age of six, she found herself in the red zone of the Namibian freedom war, where she witnessed unspeakable, war atrocities. It took her thirty-five years of broken relationships, nightmares, depression and re-living experiences, before she could make peace with the past. In dealing with the past, writing books and poetry became her best friend. A lack of fear (even healthy fears) and shifted boundaries became part of her personality. Being overly protective of animals and the human race became so etched in her heart, that she often found herself in all kinds of predicaments.
