Oceans of Charity

Young billionaire Mark Stephens and his wife Alex now live very simply, running his beachside bar and her dance school in the US Virgin Islands. They've contributed almost all of the proceeds from the sale of his businesses and her now-deceased wealthy parents' estate into a charitable foundation. Their foundation contributes very generously to women's shelters, classrooms and water sanitation projects for needy communities around the world. Following Mark and Alex's anniversary cruise, they visit some of the projects they funded in remote villages and towns in Southern Africa, only to find that millions appear to have gone missing. Who's shortchanged these very worthwhile efforts? The Stephens reunite with the now happily married Lou Colonari, a retired NYC police detective and Rebecca Kelly, a former insurance company investigator. They had met a few years ago, collaborating to recover Alex's valuable and most sentimental jewelry, stolen on a previous cruise and pursued the thief across Asia, the South Pacific and Europe. Now, with the help of a young and very talented forensic accountant, Sarah Stone, they pursue the criminals who cheated the Stephens' foundation in a fascinating investigation and chase across Africa and Europe. Will they recover the stolen funds and be able to help even more battered and destitute women and children?
