The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) has been used to study the impact of land use and climate change on the Blue Nile river basin. The aim is to explore a range of land use and climatic conditions within which we can find the response of the basin to them. It also enables those concerned stakeholders and policy makers to assess the impact of several alternative options to make better informed choices for an improved future. The book comprises of six main chapters. Introduction: - presents the background to the research, the problem at hand, and the objectives. Literature Review: - presents review of the literature pertinent to the research topic. Materials and Methods: - presents topographic and climatic conditions of the study area, materials, and the methods employed for simulating the model for land use and climate change scenarios. Results and Discussion: - the findings of the study are presented here followed by their discussion and interpretation. Conclusions and Recommendations: - summarizes the overall conclusions and the contributions of this research, knowledge gained from the study and suggestions for further research.
