Some people applying to organisations in the UN family believe that they are under pressure to find a job purely for the sake of being able to pay the bills. And a significant number of people don't bother to apply for a job that they really want because they have convinced themselves that they aren't clever enough or that competition is too tough, or that someone else has already been selected because they are 'sitting' on the position. And then there are those who apply for anything and everything because they believe that by doing so they are increasing their chances of success. Fair enough.
