The Mental Illness Handbook

This categorical and dimensional approach introduces physical illnesses that are generally presumed to be "mental illness" on the grounds that the cause and treatment presented are purely psychologically-based. And since certain defined paradigms, like the DSM and ICD, recognizes so called "mental illness" as an impairment on the behavior, this paradigm defines mental illness as an impairment on the function that determines psychological behavior, instead.
