The War Within

This book is the story of a forbidden love affair, a bastard child and an interfering church that removes the child from its parents and separates them by force. It's 1908 in Spain and it is the way things are done. Before the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, Juan Francisco enters the priesthood and finds himself part of Franco's mobile blessing squad, giving Mass to the troops and the last rites to the Republican prisoners about to be shot. This is the story of the war within Spain and the conflict of the morals and beliefs of a priest and his duty to General Franco.
