Tell It Like It Is

Poems are like sharks surfacing from deeps of the unconscious to bite an arm or leg off.

Dear reader, you are probably safe swimming in my poetic seas, my poems being more like lifebuoys to help you keep your head above water. I have things to say important to me and hopefully to you. I try to Tell it Like it is.

I have written poems for several years submitting them to fellow poets for forensic analysis in our meetings. It has been my joy to teach English over a long career to try to convey the wonders of English to pupils with a wide range of talents. If I have had to use a little force on occasion - 'you WILL enjoy this' I hope I have largely succeeded in my aim.
