He is called Lord Raven, Butcher of Jandard, and it is said that where his banner flies, death follows. To escape such infamy, Braan de Cheney, seeks peace in his Empress' newly gifted barony of Clymiris and it's Castle Shaybanye. The Under-Reive of Clymiris, Jost Aranur would do anything to protect his people and willingly gave over the land without a fight when Braan pledged to protect them. A fast friendship is soon forged between the two leaders. A friendship that will soon be strained when the Empress of Jandard visits, bringing with her the entirety of her court. Ambition and murder test loyalties as dangerous secrets struggle to remain in the shadows and Lord Raven finds that war was easy compared to this new battlefield.
