Synopsis: Obsessions is based on two stories about one family, one story in the present while the main character in that story has flashbacks to the story in the past. When two young boys, Todd McGrath and Zak Tyler, are thrown together by a tragic twist of fate in America 1953 their lives become entwined. Their friendship turns to hate and their hate turns into competition as both brothers become professional American football players. After a whirlwind romance with Zak's ex-girlfriend Laurie, Todd and Laurie marry and have a baby daughter named Kim. Holding a small silver Superbowl Brooch, a family heirloom, Todd makes a promise to Kim that one day he will win the real Superbowl for her. But that promise ends in tragedy!Kim McGrath grows up becoming a single mother and the most powerful woman in American football. Holding her son Alfie, Kim makes a promise to her dead father that her son will one day win the Superbowl for his memory and his prize will be the small silver Superbowl Brooch. But Kim's Obsession with fulfilling that promise consumes her with hatred and betrayal as she steps on everything and everyone in her quest for the Superbowl trophy.
