Cepee Dialogues

The Cepee Dialogues: A Modern Fairy Tale is a story told from the future about the world's present societies. The complexity of earth's modern civilizations is explained by a sage who gently, but with wisdom, prepares a student, who is filled with curiosity and youthful bravado, to be a future leader in his society. The Sage imbues the Student with a deep understanding of the humans living in the 21st century. The dialogues between the Sage and the Student take the reader into the beauty and power of the intellectual exchange of truths between a young inquisitive mind and a mature advanced intellect. The Sage teaches the Student about the deadly weapons used for revenge and aggression that had placed the humans' future in peril during the early 2000s. However, in the twenty-first century, extraordinary progress had been made in treating the genetic and cerebral underpinnings of pointless violent, pathological behavior: the basis for the humans' self-destructive acts. The Sage educates the Student about how this situation unfolded and if it proved to be successful. As the Sage poses philosophical and historical questions and the student responds, their dialogues reflect Plato's allegory of the cave. The dialogues explore the deep lack of understanding humans have about their own behavior. The use of absurdity and parody, akin to Voltaire's Candide, shows examples of the maturation of Student's understanding about the human race. An artificial intelligence (AI) hologram occasionally appears to add levity and other perspectives to the dialogues. They are also enhanced by the Student's eagerness to learn about another student, a female of his age. Fairy tales often involve quests for the common good. Will the humans witness such an ending?
