Filbert tells Herb that he heard the sound of the horn, after which one of his house guests vanished. He heard it again, and his dog Beowolf disappeared. Add to these goings on, a gang of smugglers and a lively gaggle of English eccentrics and friend Herb seriously wonders if he and his scalp will ever make it back to the States in joint company.
