Man has stepped out into the dark regions of deep space. Through the power of gravity, man is able to explore space and, with another tool, use gravity to defend himself. After many wars that left Earth scarred, the friendly species of the galaxy formed the Alliance with Earth, ensuring peace and commerce for all. But not all species in the galaxy want peace with the Alliance and there are even those who wish humans and the home were gone, and they are willing to turn their backs on even their own kind to accomplish that goal.
