Die by Wire

Aircraft disappear without a trace.

Published in 2011, Die By Wire describes a terror plot with eerie parallels to the mystery of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

Die By Wire explains why would terrorists would do this. And how.

In Die By Wire, Perdue created Khan Nasiri, a terror mastermind who determines that a monster under the bed makes can make for better terror than trying to one-up 9/11.

Nasiri knows that if he takes the right financial positions in stocks and bonds, he stands to reap billions from the losses in airline securities and gains in other transportation.

He also knows, that if public faith is lost in flying, then trillions in economic damage will be done to the Great Satan Western Crusaders.

With the mystery intact, Nasiri makes a personal fortune and more money to fund more terror.

Nasiri explains that spectacular terror events like 9/11 are hard to top because the public has hardened against them. That sort of terror also provides closure to grief and offer an enemy to focus on.

Unexplained terror, however, offers no closure, no focus. It becomes the monster under the bed.

Currently, Perdue serves as a consulting information analyst for one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the United States. Part of his contribution to this agency is the creation of "what if" scenarios.

Die By Wire was one of those types of scenarios Perdue created before joining that agency. He has been asked not to write any more thrillers based on such scenarios.

Like Perdue's other scenario-thrillers come true, Die By Wire is fiction based on extensive factual and technological research. Others include:

Slatewiper, which predicted bio-engineered gene weapons that could target specific ethnic groups in the mid-1990s -- a decade before the International Red Cross warned that they existed.

Zaibatsu which predicted the stock market crash of 1985.

The Trinity Implosion when Perdue predicted nuclear terrorism in 1973 when experts said that was too outlandish to consider.

The Tesla Bequest which predicted the government's secret HAARP operation.

The Washington Connection. As an investigative reporter in Washington, D. C. in the late 1970s, Perdue developed a method of putting shredded documents back together in his expose' of the Koreagate Congressional bribery scandals.

Lew was very unhappy when he found that the photo section in that book, , was used by Iranian jihadists to piece together confidential CIA documents seized in the 1978 takeover of the American Embassy in Tehran.

THE PLOT

When guardian sniper Mira Longbow arrives in Amsterdam to take out the head of a global child-smuggling ring, she quickly stumbles across a diabolically creative, high-tech jihad that will bring the West to its knees.

Problem is, she also crosses paths with Jackson Day, an unwanted visitor, and would-be lover from her turbulent past in Iraq. Day is a deadly effective loner assigned to the Army's Asymmetric Warfare Command whose motto (and his) is "Never Fight Fair."

Day shows up to enlist her gift for languages to decipher a tangle of voices recorded of a high-level terror meeting at a remote Iranian safe house, they discover that Khan Nasiri -- the same wealthy shipping tycoon behind the child bride smuggling operation -- is a terror mastermind who has discovered that every modern fly-by-wire passenger aircraft is a disaster waiting to fall out of the sky.

Nasiri intends to demonstrate to the world just how easily fly-by-wire can become die-by-wire.

The countdown begins.

Mira and Day are the only people on the planet who can stop it in time.

Die By Wire -- inspired by the real-life story of women snipers who protect innocents in war-torn regions -- brings together a heart-thumping, clock-racing thriller that also tells the shocking true story of the global exploitation of young girls whose plight has been excused by worldwide law enforcement as an acceptable cultural practice.
