The village of Anakog sits on the coast of a northern land which has only recently received human occupation, and is still rising from the floor of the sea with active volcanoes and aborigine people. Deni'a realizes she is 'different' but she doesn't know why or how that happens to be and the one man who could tell her does not understand it himself. She has many fine qualities, and as Deni'a grows up, she unravels some of the mystery which surrounds her life. A semi-dormant volcano called Fire Eye leads her to find her destiny.
