Manchester was the first city to rise out of the Industrial revolution. Consequently, after the Peterloo Massacre, various radical movements sprung up including, Womens Suffrage, Chartrists, and the birth of Trade Unions. This self published book contains 4 short Biographies of people born within a few miles of each other in Manchester, who carried on that fight for social injustice and better conditions for the ordinary working class.
