Officer Danny Gilcrest made it a mission to find out who had paid off Detective Lieutenant Snyder to bag a murder case. An investigation that almost got Danny killed in a mob hit. It didn't end the way Danny had thought it would, and now it was time to move on to forestry school. Life has a way of messing things up. A great tracking dog, an awesome female dog handler for a partner and a bizarre case of stolen artwork from long before he was born will consume Danny's life. He just has to live long enough to solve the case.
