Pinky and Pickles Get Even
Billy Hayes
This story describes how the pigs feel about Mr. Wolf, for making their houses fall down and want to get even with him. But instead, Mr. Wolf and friends build the pigs a house for the good deeds they've done. On its front door a plaque reads; (This house was made of boards and beams. Built by us with love and dreams. We hope it is strong and up its stays, Lots longer than your stick house, or house of hay.) The Stories in the Well-Mannered Wolf Series promote positive messages and are designed to encourage good behavior by expressing suggestions in a light-hearted style. The text is color coded (when the animals are talking) to help nudge the kids to take a part in the story.
