The Trials of Sa-Lee

History is written through the eyes of the victor, "To the Victor belong the spoils." To the vanquished, history is kept alive by "Oral Traditions" as seen through the life of the individuals who would not accept defeat. Such is the life of a young Cherokee Indian girl named Sa-Lee, born at a time of great conflict and misery for the Cherokee Nation. She raised a standard that would one day lead to the first principle Chief of the Cherokee Nation being a woman. Sa-Lee was born poor, even by the standard of her day. Uneducated she lived by the traditions and ways of her people. She is caught up in the tragic uprooting of her people on the "Trail of Tears," shunned and rejected by her own people as well as the white world; Sa-Lee sets her feet on a path of savage revenge. Spreading death and fear across half the United States, she searches for honor in the blood of those she hunted. For those with a tendency to judge her harshly remember the time and place in which she lived. Now come gather around the council fire and hear the Trials of Sa-Lee.
