Ages
Jonathan Graves Wright
Jonathan Graves Wright's life has taken him from the depths of depression to the endless skies of love and joy. In Ages, his fourth poetry collection, Wright shares poems that recount his experiences as a child growing up in British Columbia, sharing both the joys and anguish of his childhood, then as a young man exploring the world, and finally as a father and husband, dealing with the twists and turns of life. Ages is divided into three chapters. The first is dedicated to poems of his childhood, written decades ago. The second part embodies his teen years, growing as a young man. The final part highlights poetry he wrote after marriage, as a father. Each poem is a glimpse into the author's life and deepest emotions, a snapshot of the universal human experience as seen through one growing man's eyes. Ages is one part memoir and two parts poetry, an autobiography in verse, if you will.
