And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest" (Matthew 9.35-38). Taking on the eyes of Jesus we see the same harassment and helplessness of countless souls who are under the cruel and relentless bondage of the evil "god of this world." The One True God, full of compassion and mercy, has revealed himself in these last days through his Son, Jesus of Nazareth. Willingly this great King suffered, was crucified, buried, and rose from the grave and is seated with all authority next to the Father. He has shattered and tattered the god of this world's grip and offers freedom and wholeness to anyone who will respond in obedient faith to this great King. Our prayer has been and continues to be Let God Arise. He has in kindness and mercy responded to our prayers in calling and sending Evangel Dean Catalysts who will multiply laborers for the harvest field by facilitating the Evangel School of Urban Church Planting, Dean Training, in their contexts. These co-laborers in the Great Commission are seasoned warriors and trusted partners in our work to witness the Gospel of the Kingdom proclaimed by the empowered poor to every people group through indigenous churches and movements to the end that the empowered urban leaders and churches would reach their cities with the Gospel.
