Anne's House of Dreams is a novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery and was first published in 1917. The book begins with the wedding of Ana and Gilbert in the small garden of Tejas Verdes. After the wedding the newlyweds leave for a new home to which Ana baptize as 'Dream Home' in the Port of Cuatro Vientos. There, Ana and Gilbert will start their new life together and meet their new neighbors, very interesting people like Captain Jim or Miss Cornelia Bryant fully androphobia. They also know their nearest neighbor the unfortunate Leslie Moore, a young beautiful that contemplated the deaths of his little brother and his father, and was forced by her mother to marry a man she hated, a sailor, who for years turned mentally deranged from his last trip. Ana seek by all means to make friends with Leslie, but she refused.
