The rich and mighty have their games too. What corruptions running rampant in this country needed to be scoured and washed to cleanliness or, in some cases, flushed entirely away? The country was being tainted, more so every day, and so had to be protected from injury. A few must have the courage, the fortitude, the will, to step into the breach, to fight the good fight. From out of the womb of that thought, from out of the concept of an organization devoted to condemning the ills of society and striving to correct them, came to be born The Killing League. With its members' vast amounts of money, and with their combined audacity, the League placed itself as the clandestine supreme authority of determining what was right for America and what was wrong for it, granting itself the supremacy of eliminating the wrong. They accepted no boundaries to their authority. Indeed, why should they? Grant onto Caesar that which is Caesar's. And let the killing begin. But no one said you couldn't have fun while doing it...
