Some contend that all ghosts are "subjective" or purely mental (hallucinations); others that some ghosts are "objective"-that is, space-occupying entities, which exist apart from the seer, who sees them. Hallucination-A mental experience, in which a phantom is seen, a voice heard, etc., when there is no real external cause for this seeing or hearing.
