Letters From Wyoming

A nonfiction collection of letters sent "home" by those traveling west. This collection of letters were sent from Wyoming by those coming west. The adventurous writers sent home bits and pieces of news about marriages, new vocations, deaths, murders, births, fights, shootings, politics, prices for commodities and more. These correspondents, cowboys and other citizens writing these letters provide a great historical record of the settlement of Wyoming and the American west in the decade of the 1870s.
