Articulated Artwork Volume 1

As a toy collector, I wanted to do more than just take them out of a box and put them on a shelf. I wanted to be able to 'bring them to life.' I started by just posting iPhone pictures I had taken to Instagram for fun back in late 2017. It didn't take long to realize what a huge community of talented artists it was! I really wanted to improve my work and make it more than just pictures of my figures in bad lighting in front of my basement wall. I wanted to bring them to life like their movie or TV counterparts. So I invested in my first DSLR camera and a world of difference began. I lost my job in the spring and during my time in between jobs I began to learn more about photo editing and retouching. I experimented a lot and while my techniques are far from perfect, I began to get a lot of positive feedback from the community so I felt like I must have been doing something right! Being that I usually post 2-3 times a day to Instagram, I had built up a pretty decent portfolio so I decided to create my first book of my favorite pictures from 2018 at Costco. It was a really amazing feeling to see my work in physical form! So I thought I'd share my work with the world. Think of it as a really nerdy coffee table book. I hope you enjoy all the various pictures of these toys in action. You'll see Batman, Iron Man, Darth Vader, Michael Myers, Captain America, Dutch from Predator and many more!
